OPI Muppets collection

I'm a sucker for glitters and love bright colours, so it's no stretch to say I absolutely adore the glitters in the recent OPI Muppets collection! I'm also a huge fan of the Muppets!

I have four of the beauties Rainbow Connection, Fresh Frog of Belair, Divine Swine and Gettin' Miss Piggy with it. The names from OPI are either hilarious or fall flat, however I must admit that naming them after Muppets characters makes them awsome and adorable.

They are all pretty, and pretty sheer and are good for layering or if used thickly can make for flashy fingers!

To get a descent effect you need a minimum of three coats but preferably five, unless you layer them over a colour as I said. The dry time was good, especially with QTICA Half time drops and a quick dry topcoat. The texture is rough and gritty, as some glitters can be, and all these polishes need extra layers of top coat to get a smooth finish.

Rainbow Connection

Rainbow Connection is a multi coloured glitter-fest! It has a clear base with large hexagon and small round pieces of silver, orange, green, pink and blue glitter. I adore this polish and used it obsessively when I first got it. It is pretty clumpy and thick, and works best of you pat/dab on the polish thickly. If you spread it on like a usual polish it moves the glitter around and leaves a sparse layer. I love this one even though it's problematic to work with cause it's so damn good looking!

Fresh Frog of Belair

Fresh Frog of Belair is a grass green with small round green glitter with large silver hexagons floating in a clear base. I got this one to use as the green in my Christmas manicures and think it's a perfect festive pine coloured green. Sheer but build-able.

Divine Swine

Divine Swine has small round purple coloured glitter that leans deep pink and large silver hexagons in a clear base. It's fairly sheer and works better dabbed on, like the rest of these. It makes for a great pedicure especially layered over a pink or purple base.

Gettin' Miss Piggy with it

My absolute favourite is Gettin' Miss Piggy with it, which is a fantastic red glitter. It has small round red, large redish magenta hexagon and large silver hexagon pieces in a clear base. The large deep pinky red hexagons make it more interesting and gives it greater depth, but it's still relatively sheer.

On a non-beauty front, I won a competition a few months ago for a set of 5 giant muppets from Hoyts Cinema in honour of the Muppets movie. I just wanted to share my fuzzy and crazy friends!

So delighted to receive my very own Muppets!

I was so excited to have by babies that I had to take some photos in the car.

Muppet car crash!!

So insane to receive my very own Muppets!
